My Current Favourite Brewery
For a while now, my some of my favourite beers have come from a London brewery called Beavertown. Sure Brewdog will always be the brewery that got me into craft beer - but a combination of fantastic beer & insane can art has given Beavertown my top spot for now.
They first came to my attention whilst attending a tap takeover at Brewdog Castlegate the evening before the 2016 AGM. There I tried Gamma Ray - their take on a classic American Pale Ale. This light, tropical, hop filled beer instantly got my attention, and I left that night with a couple of cans to take home with me.
From then, I made a point of trying new Beavertown beers whenever I could - mainly finding them in either Brewdog, Deeside Drinks Emporium or Borsalino Bottleshop. I have since tried the following beers:
Without doubt my absolute favourite is Bloody Notorious - I almost found it to be the perfect beer. The orange aromas hit you as soon as you open the can, resulting in an extremely refreshing drink. I wish i'd had the opportunity to try this on draft - If I could buy a keg of this for home, I most definitely would!
Onto the can art...Have a look at the pictures below, and tell me you've seen a collective of cooler can art elsewhere?! Sure Brewdog have has some bangers in RBIC & Neon Overlord, but I still think that Beavertown are the masters. The can for Peacher Man & Lupuloid are particular favourites of mine. I'd love to see them make more of their designs available as tee's and other merch.
Beavertown were formed in 2011 in the basement of a London pub. They have since became one of London's coolest, flagship craft breweries. They have perfected their core range of beers and collaborated with some of the largest craft breweries in the world, which has resulted in them gathering a large, loyal fan base.

I can't wait to try more from this fantastic brewery 🍻
