5/9/2016 0 Comments Beer Review - Citrusy WitStone BrewingI've heard a lot about Stone Brewing in the last couple of months and I've now finally had the chance to try one of their beers. Citrusy Wit is a 5.3% ABV witbier that is infused with tangerine, kaffir lime leaf and coriander. It pours a golden yellow colour and produces a frothy white head. I was unsure how I thought about the taste at first, I wasn't quite sure if I liked it or not - I couldn't put my fingers on the flavours. However, the more I drank it, the more I came around to it. I think the first thing that hit me was the strong malty, musty wheat flavours. These however, are balanced out by the bold, citrus flavours, which certainly help quench the thirst. I paired Citrusy Wit with fajitas, that had a little kick to them and the sweetness of the tangerine and lime in the beer complimented the spice of the fajitas perfectly. Overall, I would say that I enjoyed this beer and would without doubt recommend it. Witbier is still something i'm getting into, and I've since tried a couple more that have gone down well.
I'm keen to try more from Stone Brewing as I've heard great things about their IPA's, so i'll definitely be keeping an eye out for them in the future 🍻 www.stonebrewing.com/
